Jeff DeGrange, a University of Iowa College of Engineering alum, is being recognized with the Additive Manufacturing Industry Achievement Award.  

This semester, seven students took their comprehensive exams and will defend their theses.

A new research publication by Jerry Schnoor, a University of Iowa civil and environmental engineering professor and Allen S. Henry Chair in Engineering, has been selected for the ACS Editors’ Choice program.

In their final semester, undergraduate seniors are partnered with real companies to solve real world problems. On Tuesday, May 2, six teams of seniors celebrated their semester of success and presented their semester-long projects.

Brandon Barquist was among 18 University of Iowa staff members honored with this year’s UI Staff Council Awards for achievements ranging from excellence in service to leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Tom Hanson was among eight alumni, age 80 and over, who were honored for carrying the Hawkeye spirit of achievement and continuing to help others.

Keri Hornbuckle, Donald E. Bently Professor of Engineering, has been named a recipient of the 2023 University of Iowa Distinguished Chair.

Steve Cable, senior systems administrator at DSRI, has been awarded the 2023 UI Outstanding Staff Award. This award recognizes current University of Iowa staff who have made outstanding accomplishments and contributions above and beyond their job responsibility that significantly benefit or bring honor or recognition to the university.
