The National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame announced University of Iowa's Nicole Grosland among the names of the 20 faculty athletics representatives, who will be recognized as part of the 2025 NFF Faculty Salutes, honoring the significant contributions of faculty athletics representatives across the nation.

Graduate students studying chemical and biochemical engineering have been recognized with awards and fellowships through the University of Iowa Graduate College. The recipients are Weizhi Deng, Prasoon Kumar, and Saeideh Mohammadi.

Kristin Stein, a University of Iowa undergraduate studying civil and environmental engineering, has been named the 2025 Student of the Year by the American Water Works Association for work on sustainable water management.

The Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) has awarded Hosin “David” Lee, a University of Iowa professor of civil and environmental engineering, with its 2025 Distinguished Service Membership Award, citing his “exemplary leadership, visionary service, and profound impact.”

Marian Muste, a research engineer and adjunct professor in the University of Iowa College of Engineering, has been awarded a Fulbright for spring 2026. He will be hosted by the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering (FESE) at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
