ECE PhD student wins Best Student Paper Award at international symposium

Matthew G. Finley, a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Iowa, received the "Best Student Paper" award at the 2020 IS&T International Symposium on Electronic Imaging. His paper presented a novel method for compressing 3D range geometry, applicable in various fields including medicine, manufacturing, and entertainment.
