UI Engineering sensors assisting Mercy Hospital to decontaminate masks

The University of Iowa College of Engineering collaborates with Mercy Iowa City to optimize UV exposure for mask decontamination. Using specialized sensors developed by Fatima Toor, the required exposure time was determined to properly irradiate and sterilize masks, allowing for their reuse and reducing waste.
