The College of Engineering at the University of Iowa has joined KEEN: The Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network, a partnership of more than 60 colleges and universities across the United States focused on reaching “all undergraduate engineering students with an entrepreneurial mindset (EM) so they can create personal, economic, and societal value through a lifetime of meaningful work.”

$2M NIH grant backs UI research on sleep disorder connected with snoring

University of Iowa researchers in engineering, otolaryngology, and neurology are working to improve treatment planning for those struggling with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a common cause of snoring. The research is being backed by a new National Institute of Health R01 grant from the National Center on Sleep Disorders Research, which is expected to reach $2 million over five years.
