Chemical and Biochemical Engineering
Join us as we celebrate a century of groundbreaking research and education as the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering turns 100 in 2026.
After kicking off the celebration with our April Milestone Celebration, we now look ahead to the Centennial Celebration at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in November. We invite faculty, staff, students, and alumni to reconnect, reflect on a century of achievement, and celebrate the department's future.
Throughout 2026, the department is hosting a variety of centennial-related activities, including CBE Advisory Board meetings, the AIChE student regional conference, the Honored Alumni Awards, the History of CBE exhibition in the Lichtenberger Engineering Library, milestone seminars, and other special events.
Check this page for event updates and details as they become available. We hope you'll join us in celebrating 100 years of CBE!
