Dear CEE Friends:
Welcome to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Iowa. We are home of the CivilHawks and are interested in all things water, structures, transportation, and infrastructure.
In CEE we train civil and environmental engineering students to engineer a better world. We have 24 faculty, 259 undergraduate students, and 70 graduate students. CEE has a 98% placement rate for our undergraduate students and our graduate programs are highly ranked (e.g., #10 in Environmental Engineering/Health public graduate programs). The college of engineering is home to the world renowned IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering and the premier Iowa Technology Institute .
Our students are the heart of our program and both our graduate and undergraduate students are actively engaged in projects that help build a better world. We are always looking for bright, curious, motivated students who want to help us engineer a better world.
If you are interested in joining us as an undergraduate student, check out our CivilHawks website to learn more about what we do and how to apply. If you are interested in working with us to do research and earn an MS or PhD degree and want to learn more about our research and graduate programs visit the following websites: CEE Graduate Programs, IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering, or Iowa Technology Institute. If you have any questions or something looks of interest, feel free to email me.
