The Resilient Infrastructure Systems graduate program focuses on structural and transportation systems within the built environment. The program offers unique opportunities for students to participate research and education in areas such as optimization of infrastructure systems, structural health monitoring, highway pavements materials and rehabilitation, and surface transportation infrastructure. Students can also participate in a practicum with engineering professionals focused on design of real-world structural systems. Within Resilient Infrastructure Systems, there are two areas of specialization: Structures, Mechanics, and Materials (SMM), and Transportation Infrastructure (TI).
