Vicory engineers a better way to clean hospitals

Connor Vicory, a University of Iowa industrial and systems engineering major, has launched a startup called Vicory Solutions. Through the company, Vicory developed Control, a software that helps hospitals standardize room cleaning and reduce the risk of infection.

Patent awarded to improve crash avoidance braking time in electric vehicles

A new patent by University of Iowa researchers combines collision avoidance technology with regenerative braking systems used in electric vehicles to improve emergency braking response time.
