A special Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) celebration of Martin Luther King's legacy will be held Friday, January 19.
The event will occur in 3630 Seamans Center for the Engineering Arts and Sciences with refreshments served at 4:00 p.m. and remarks beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The celebration will feature Dr. Ethriam Cash Brammer, director of TRIO student support services at Eastern Michigan University. He will speak on "Intelligence+Character: Advancing Diversity and Inclusive Excellence in STEM Education."
The event is sponsored by the UI Department of Mathematics, AMCS, the Sloan Center, College of Engineering, and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
