Shamus Roeder, who earned bachelor's and master's degrees in biomedical engineering at the University of Iowa, is among seven entrepreneurs to be recognized by the Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Honors event in October.

The College of Engineering at the University of Iowa has joined KEEN: The Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network, a partnership of more than 60 colleges and universities across the United States focused on reaching “all undergraduate engineering students with an entrepreneurial mindset (EM) so they can create personal, economic, and societal value through a lifetime of meaningful work.”

University of Iowa researchers in engineering, otolaryngology, and neurology are working to improve treatment planning for those struggling with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a common cause of snoring.
