Join us in welcoming Bijaya Adhikari, professor within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Iowa, to our graduate seminar. Dr. Adhikari will present his seminar titled, “Approximation Algorithms and Machine Learning for Healthcare-Associated Infections Response,” on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 3:30 to 4:20 p.m. in 3505 SC.

In this talk, Jun Wang will provide an overview of how fires and atmospheric aerosols are detected from space and emphasize the urgent need for new satellite missions to monitor the health of our changing planet.
