Recent ISE PhD alum to begin career in driving safety research at NHTSA

Emily Shull recently graduated from the University of Iowa College of Engineering with a PhD in industrial and systems engineering. Soon she will begin her professional career as a general engineer at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Emily Shull, industrial and systems engineering Ph.D. candidate, was honored at a ceremony in Washington D.C. for her awards from the University Transportation Center (UTC). She received the SAFER-SIM Excellence Award and the 2022 UTC Outstanding Student of the Year award.
