The Engineering Electronics Shop supports the use of circuit board software LabVIEW, Multisim, and Ultiboard by National Instruments.
LabVIEW is system design software from National Instruments.
Multisim is circuit design software from National Instruments. Multisim has a large parts library, which has been set up to use available ESS parts. See EES Custom Parts Database and Arduino Templates (MultiSim Version 14).
The videos below explain many uses of Multisim.
- ABM (Analog Behavioral Model) voltage source
- Add data label to Grapher View plot
- Adjust axis limits and tick marks on a Grapher
- Basic operation of the two-channel oscilloscope
- Digital Multimeter DMM
- Display RMS and average value with a measurement probe
- Exporting Simulation Data to an Excel Spreadsheet
- Four channel oscilloscope
- Function generator
- Linear potentiometer
- Measure DC mesh current with a measurement probe
- Measure voltage with a referenced measurement probe
- Plot Mathematical Expression
- Add ZVN3306A component to User Database
- BJT base characteristic
- Word Generator digital sequences
- AC Analysis frequency response
- Find commonly used circuit components
- Piecewise linear voltage source
- Pulse voltage source
- Single Frequency AC Analysis
- Transient Analysis
- VDD and VSS power supply voltages
- Voltage controlled switch
- Combine simulated and myDAQ measured results -- Bode Analyzer
- Temperature Sweep
- Transient Analysis
- Using the Word Generator
- Vary temperature of a single component
- Waveform cursor measurements with the two-channel oscilloscope
Ultiboard is PCB (printed circuit board) layout and routing software by National Instruments specifically for use in educational institutions.
