Engineering student awarded Gilman Scholarship to study and intern abroad

Out of thousands of applicants nationwide, nine University of Iowa students, including a second-year industrial engineering student from Iowa City, have been awarded the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which provides up to $5,000 to support study or internship experiences abroad.

The strong partnership between the University of Iowa Operator Performance Laboratory and the U.S. Air Force has made the College of Engineering a destination for Test Pilot School officers seeking a PhD.
