Tyler Bell, University of Iowa, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, is part of an interdisciplinary team selected for an Innovation in Teaching and Technology Award to use artificial intelligence to improve behavior intervention.

The Academic Technologies Advisory Council (ATAC) has awarded $49,942 for the project entitled “Enhancing Behavior Intervention Simulations with Generative Artificial Intelligence.” Funding will support graduate student staffing.

In addition to Bell, the team includes Seth King, associate professor of teaching and learning.

ATAC serves as the voice and representative for IT decisions and priorities that impact the teaching mission of the university. Projects selected for innovation awards serve as models for improving instruction, according to the award notice.
