Tutoring

Make an Appointment or Drop In

Need help writing a paper or completing a lab report? Nervous about a class presentation coming up? The Hanson Center for Communication was founded to provide tutoring for students who need help learning how to communicate their science. Our team of professional scientists and communicators are here to help you learn how to write and speak effectively about your work. You can make an appointment with one of our tutors or just drop in.

Improvisation

Drop In! No experience necessary!

Come to our weekly improv drop in session and play a series of games designed to help you feel more confident when communicating. Improv games are easy, fun ways to practice very sophisticated communication skills including observing, listening, empathy, eye contact, and vocal projection. Three Minute Thesis (3MT)

The Hanson Center will be hosting the College of Engineering 3MT Competition this year! We will be announcing a lineup of preparatory seminars to happen in September, as well as the CoE Competition in October.
