Elise Koltonowski, an undergraduate chemical engineering student, completed a summer internship with GE Aerospace, a world-leading provider of jet and turboprop engines, as well as integrated systems for commercial, military, business, and general aviation aircraft.

Where did you intern at?
GE Aerospace
What kind of activities did your role include?
I was able to work on projects related to excel based data analytics leading into problem solving techniques, creating better business communication tools, and learning how the supply & demand streams work in an engineering company. I also got the opportunity to explore GE’s ceramic matrix composite and coatings technology from its beginning to end stages while also learning about GE’s many different engine lines and models. Additionally, I was active in other intern events such as GE’s women’s network and attended the two-day INWISE conference. I received an Impact award for leading with transparency during my time on the intern volunteering subcommittee, volunteering over 25 hours over my 12-week internship.
