ISE Senior, Hieu Nguyen was awarded the 2022 Hancher-Finkbine Distinguished Undergraduate Student Leader Certificate on April 12th. Presented by UI President Barbara Wilson, this award was given to four students who have exhibited exemplary qualities in learning, leadership, and loyalty. Recipients were nominated by student organizations and collegiate deans. 

Hieu shares, “As a son of two Hawkeye alumni, I pretty much knew that I would be going to the University of Iowa for a while and have not regretted my decision since. The endless amount of student opportunities and resources have allowed me to develop into the student and future grad that I am today. I'm very grateful for all of the relationships that I've built with other students, faculty, and alumni and hope to continue these relationships further down the road.”
