Parham Parnian is a Ph.D. candidate in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Shiraz University and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering-Biotechnology from Tarbiat Modares University in Iran. Pursuing his passion in hands-on projects in engineering and biotechnology, Parham joined Professor Eric Nuxoll's research team in 2018. Since then, his research has been focusing on developing a novel therapeutic technique for treatment of medical implant infections, as an alternative to multiple invasive surgeries. He aims to use thermoelectric heating and cooling for eliminating implant infections in-situ. In his free time, Parham enjoys watching soccer, playing video games (soccer again!), and hanging out with friends and family.
