The College of Engineering has two short term job openings available for research open house student assistants.  

Needed: 2 student assistants (undergraduate or graduate)

Rate of pay: $11 per hour

Start date: March 16 -23 (earlier if you are around over spring break)

End Date: April 10 (ish)

• Hours: up to 10 hours per week, with the exception of the week of March 30 (Research Week) which may be up to 20 hours.
• Work hours are flexible and can be done according to student schedule EXCEPT where noted below under “duties” during Research Week.
• Research Week is March 30 – April 3.

Supervisor: Kristina Venzke primary, may also report to Prof Udaykumar

Duties:

• Assist with general event organization for Research Week as directed by supervisors (catering, flyers, website and kiosk updates)
• Design and implement Research Week activities of interest to students (trivia, raffle, etc) during Research Week.
• Assist with setting up posters and checking in posters on Wednesday, April 1 (all day or four-hour shifts, 8:00 – 4:00)
• Assist at Research Open House Registration/Information table on April 2 (all day or four-hour shifts – 8:00 – 4:00)
• Assist with greetings Luncheon guests and raffle ticket wrangling at the Student Luncheon on April 3 (10:00 – 2:00) and poster teardown
• Assist with general office duties such as making copies, assembling judge packets, creating certificates, etc.
