KGAN-TV, Cedar Rapids, IA, reported on "Open Minds, Open Doors," a local event to get girls involved with STEM careers.  Involved in the conference was Julie Jessop, associate professor of chemical and biochemical engineering.

The conference was attended by more than 500 girls.
