The College of Engineering will host about 40 alumni and friends April 29 as part of the university's celebration of the successful conclusion to the Iowa Forever More campaign.

The Saturday event will begin with a special 9:00 a.m. brunch that will be served at the Seamans Center for the Engineering Arts and Sciences.

Then, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, there will be programming followed by "sneak peek" tours of the new Annex to the Seamans Center. The programming includes presentations by Grand Challenges Scholars, Biomedical Engineering Senior Design Day projects, and a look at the NEXUS Engineering and the Arts program.  During the tours, guests also will be able to view a mock up of the planned Design Room in the new Annex.

The University of Iowa and the University of Iowa Foundation announced in February the successful conclusion of the For Iowa. Forever More: The Campaign for the University of Iowa. Overall, more than 272,000 UI alumni and friends—enough to fill Kinnick Stadium nearly four times—contributed more than $1.975 billion to help the UI remain at the forefront of education, research and health care.
