Dan McGehee, associate professor of mechanical and industrial engineering and director of the National Advanced Driving Simulator, will be a guest on the University of Iowa's "WorldCanvass" program January 17 as part of the spring 2017 UI Theme Semester, “Our Lives Online."  “Our Lives Online” focuses on the internet and technology, exploring the global system of connectedness, networks, and collaboration that, along with rapidly developing technology, is changing our lives and possibilities with almost incomprehensible speed.  The program runs from 7:30-9:00 p.m. and will be held in the Recital Hall of the Voxman Music Building.

McGehee will discuss rapidly-changing technologies in transportation and their effects on employment, the economy, and personal autonomy.

"WorldCanvass"will also be recorded for later broadcast on YouTube, iTunes, and the Public Radio Exchange.
