A Little More About Me

What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?

Challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone and find ways to get involved!

What organizations outside the college of engineering do you belong to?

Iowa Andhi, Indian Student Alliance

Have you had any international experience? If so, where did you go, for how long, and what did you do?

I lived in India for over 10 years and have lived in Australia as well!

How are you an "engineer ... and something more"?

One of my favorite things to do is choreographing dance routines. I got involved in Iowa Andhi - a South Asian fusion dance team on campus - and this year I'm having fun working behind the scenes and planning for competitions as a co-captain.

Is there something else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

I'm an avid coffee drinker but refuse to believe I have a caffeine dependence.

What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?

The sense of community and diversity on campus. I love meeting people from various backgrounds and listening to their unique stories.

Who is your favorite professor and why?

Dr. Beth Rundlett: her teaching style was engaging and I enjoyed working on the projects she had planned for the Introduction to Engineering Problem Solving lab.

What has been your favorite course?

Introduction to Engineering Problem Solving

What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?

Grabbing boba with friends, finding new restaurants, coffee shops, and study spots on campus.
