A Little More About Me
What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?
Find some fellow students in engineering who can study with you, answer questions, and become friends with you. This can be easily done by join clubs or organizations.
What organizations outside the college of engineering do you belong to?
I am a member of the Student Advancement Network.
How are you an "engineer ... and something more"?
As a freshman, I was hesitant to get involved in extracurricular activities because of the course load in engineering. I joined a peer mentoring program and a professional mentoring program which helped me feel more comfortable. I realized how much I enjoy sharing my experience with people which led me to join the Student Advancement Network.
Is there something else you'd like to tell us about yourself?
I love to watch and play golf.
What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?
I love the community of students, faculty, and alumni that I am a part of. We are all growing together while we go through a similar experience.
Who is your favorite professor and why?
Professor Eric Nuxoll in the department of chemical engineering. He is an excellent teacher of one of the hardest courses in the curriculum, and he is very empathetic towards his students.
What has been your favorite course?
Fluid Flow, we studied many problems that are similar to problems that are experienced in industry.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?
I enjoy playing pool, playing bags, and watching the newest movies on Netflix.
A fun picture of me.
