The Engineering Open is open to the public from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Student Commons of the Seamans Center. Doors open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. No tickets required. Dean Ann McKenna will deliver messages to students, and Executive Vice President and Provost Kevin Kregel will confer degrees. Graduate Alejandra Vilca Landa — who is originally from Lima, Peru, but now lives in Iowa City — will be the student speaker. She will be graduating with a degree in biomedical engineering.
