The Iowa Flood Center (IFC) was formed in 2009 in response to the devastating 2008 flood. Since then, IFC members have been working on flood monitoring, mapping, and mitigation research to keep the people of Iowa informed and prepared for future flood events.
IFC students, staff, and researchers will host their annual legislative breakfast reception on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Iowa State Capitol building in the first-floor rotunda. Legislators and partners are invited to attend a light breakfast and visit with IFC experts about innovative projects providing a direct benefit to help Iowans understand and reduce their flood risk.
