Role at the College of Engineering: Research Support Specialist for the Iowa Geological Survey

How long have you been in the area and worked at the College of Engineering?

I am a research support specialist for the Iowa Geological Survey, and have been in this position for the past 7 years.  I have worked in multiple areas of the University for the past 23 years.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy traveling, reading, gardening, cooking and cross stitch as time allows.

What is your favorite place to visit in the area?

My favorite places in Johnson County include my own back yard, Kent Park, and the Coralville Dam area – anywhere with nature and wildlife.  The eagles during the winter months are so much fun to watch, and gardening during the growing season is a favorite hobby of mine.

What is important to you about your role on ESAC?

ESAC is a great way to interact with other staff members in the College of Engineering, as a part of IGS I do not work in the Seamans Center building so prior to my involvement with ESAC I didn’t know many other staff members.
