Nearly 200 researchers and faculty from across the state say Iowa is at a “fork in the road” when it comes to addressing the rapid increase in electricity demand. Jacqueline Dowling, a UI assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, is one of the organizers of the Iowa Climate Educators group, which released its 16th annual climate statement Tuesday.
