Eric Ababio Anyimadu, a University of Iowa PhD candidate in electrical and computer engineering (ECE), is being recognized for his work as a researcher and teacher.

Anyimadu is the recipient of the Ballard and Seashore Fellowship, a program through the UI Graduate College. This fellowship program provides an opportunity for PhD students to benefit from a final semester of protected and supported time to focus on completing their scholarly research activities and the writing of their dissertations.

In addition, Anyimadu received the IEEE NextGen Scholar Award and UI's 2025 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.

Anyimadu's research focus is multi-modal deep learning and statistical modeling to predict treatment toxicities, and survival risk in oncology. He is mentored by Guadalupe Canahuate, an ECE professor.
