Gregory LeFevre, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering has been selected for a 2023 Environmental Science and Technology (ES&T) Letters Excellence in Review award, the publication revealed in its September 2024 edition.
LeFevre was one of 13 winners of the award recognizing "scientists who perform peer review for ES&T Letters in their area of expertise to a consistently high standard, in a timely fashion, and on a frequent basis throughout the year."
"The robust and in-depth peer review process is at the heart of the journal and your contributions in this area were recognized by the team as being exemplary," stated Bryan Brooks, editor-in-chief of ES&T Letters, in announcing the award.
ES&T Letters is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Chemical Society that features high quality and impact research papers of an urgent nature in the fields of environmental science and technology.
LeFevre, who joined the College of Engineering in 2016, is also a faculty affiliate of the IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering and the Iowa Superfund Research Program. He has a number of fields of interest, including biotransformation and fate of emerging contaminants, stormwater and engineered natural treatment systems, and plant processes and pollutants.
