University of Iowa Human Resources
UI Wellness
WHAT
The University Employee Health Clinic (UEHC) and University Human Resources will again offer free seasonal flu vaccinations. Please consider taking advantage of the free vaccinations provided by the university. Getting vaccinated is convenient and considerate. Protect yourself, your families, and your coworkers by getting a vaccination and avoiding the spread of this year’s flu.
WHO
UI regular full-time and part-time (50 percent or greater) faculty and staff are eligible for a free vaccine. ALL UI Health Care employees and volunteers, regardless of percentage of time worked, are eligible and encouraged to obtain a free flu vaccine as well.
WHERE and WHEN
Locations are coming near you in October: Check the schedule or get vaccinated without appointment at the University Employee Health Clinic.
HOW
1) Sign into your ReadySet account and complete a short survey. Why? ReadySet is a way for the university to process important information while protecting your privacy. Once you’ve set up an account and finished the flu survey, it means you’re ready to get vaccinated.
- Find instructions for using ReadySet and completing the flu vaccine survey at the University Employee Health Clinic website. You can also access Readyset under the “Benefits & Wellness > liveWELL” tab of Employee Self Service.
- Still having trouble? Head to one of the vaccination locations in the schedule and someone there will walk you through the process.
2) Bring your UI photo ID card (the Iowa One card) to the vaccination location. A UI Hospitals & Clinics photo ID badge is also acceptable.
JUST IN CASE
For those faculty and staff who are unable to attend a scheduled flu vaccination clinic or the Health Fair on November 6, free flu vaccines for eligible faculty and staff will be available without an appointment at the University Employee Health Clinic.
QUESTIONS
Please contact University Employee Health at employee-health@uiowa.edu with questions or concerns.
Please note: All flu vaccines administered through UEHC are latex and preservative free at all clinic sites. Employees who are eligible and wish to receive the High Dose vaccine recommended for ages 65+, will be able to do so at all clinic sites and the University Employee Health Clinic.
