Mechanical engineering doctoral student Fazlolah Mohaghegh, who is studying under H. S. Udaykumar, professor of mechanical and industrial engineering, has been selected as a 2016 ASME

The selection is based on his paper titled, "Efficiency of diffuse and share interface strongly coupled fluid structure interaction methods in fixed and moving boundaries."
He will receive a $1,500 scholarship from the Division in addition to a certificate of recognition from the Society, awarded during the July 10-14 ASME FEDSM Fluids Engineering Division Summer Meeting in Washington DC.
In 2012-2013, Mohaghegh also received the Sharada Devi Planjery Memorial Award, which supports two scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each to deserving students in the College of Engineering’s mechanical engineering program.
