Greg Ongie, graduate student in mathematics and graduate research assistant, received the Best Paper Award at the 2015 International Symposium on
Ongie's paper is on super-resolution MRI. He is studying under Mathews Jacob, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, and researcher at the Center for Computer-Aided Design and the Iowa Institute for Biomedical Imaging. Ongie's area of focus is on designing novel image reconstruction algorithms with applications to accelerated MRI.
