The Fall 2014 Engineering Career Fair on Thursday, September 25, will kick off an active recruiting season for full-time engineers, interns and co-ops. 

The fair runs from 1:00-6:00 PM in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union.

More than 100 manufacturing, consulting, healthcare, IT, government and non-profit organizations will be attending.  The full list of employers attending can be viewed on-line at https://old.engineering.uiowa.edu/sites/default/files/epd/Employer%20Directory%20-%20Fall%202014.pdf. 

The College of Engineering also has introduced a new app to help students prepare for career fairs. The app, "U of I Career Fair Plus" is available for download through the iTunes and GooglePlay stores.

It includes information on companies and agencies that have signed up for the September 25 Fall Engineering Career Fair, 1:00-6:00 p.m. in the Main Lounge of Iowa Memorial Union. 

There also are a fair map that corresponds to booth numbers for each company and agency and a connection to announcements about the fair, including companies that have registered. 

In addition, the app features a Career Fair 101 section.  It enables students to add career fair events to their calendars, research the companies attending the fair, find companies using filters and mark them as favorites, use the fair map to see favorites and plan routes, dress the part, practice elevator speeches, and share tips on how to impress a recruiter.
