Danielle Land

Danielle Land is a postdoctoral research associate in the C.S. Mott Department of Public Health at Michigan State University where she is continuing her work on exposure risk from lead in drinking water. She recently completed her PhD in civil and environmental engineering at the University of Iowa and was advised by Michelle Scherer, who introduced her to the amazingness and importance of science communication. Danielle is originally from Joplin, Missouri, and came up to Iowa in 2014 when she completed her undergraduate studies at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She loves basketball, coffee, and most of all, her dog Minerva (aka Minnie Meatball). Despite her crippling fear of public speaking, Danielle is enthusiastic about helping others improve their scientific writing and presenting skills.
