A Little More About Me

What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?

College classes can have heavy workloads. Schedule in time to relax and do the things that bring you joy, so you can study without getting burnt out.

What organizations outside the college of engineering do you belong to?

Society of Women Engineers, Omega Chi Epsilon, American Institute of Chemical Engineers

How are you an "engineer ... and something more"?

As the President of the Society of Women Engineers, I spend a lot of time developing leadership and communication skills. These skills actually help me become a better engineer since communication is essential to problem-solving!

What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?

My favorite part is the endless opportunities the University of Iowa offers. Once you get involved, you are always pushed to new levels of growth.

What has been your favorite course?

My favorite class has been Material and Energy Balances because it is the foundations chemical engineering class. It helped affirm that I was in a major that I would enjoy.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?

I love to read and run!
