Scherer demonstrates value of University of Iowa Distinguished Chair award

Named a distinguished chair in 2021, Michelle Scherer is one of the scholars benefiting from the university’s efforts to support faculty excellence. Scherer, a professor of civil and environmental engineering who is highly regarded for her research in environmental chemistry, says the award has opened many new possibilities for her on campus.

Students planning to graduate in the spring 2024 semester are encouraged to pick up their cap and gown at the two-day spring 2024 GradFest in the IMU Main Lounge. Several offices and services will be onsite to assist with all things graduation preparation. Diploma Frames, Graduation Announcements, Class Rings, and other jewelry items are available. Snacks, beverages, and fun activities will be offered.
