American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at Iowa
The University of Iowa (UI) chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) seeks to bring together students, both engineers and non-engineers, for involvement and interaction with the various facets and topics that comprise mechanical engineering. In doing so, students will be able to engage with peers, faculty, and professionals in areas that interest them. In addition, students will have opportunities to develop their skills in engineering and communication while preparing for higher education or their careers. This organization, housed under the national umbrella of ASME, aims to develop student abilities for the betterment of our local, state, and national communities. Our vision is to enhance the University of Iowa engineering student experience through technical projects, research opportunities, professional development, peer mentoring, and community outreach events.
