Jane Driscoll grew up in Iowa City and earned both a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an MBA from the University of Iowa. Jane is the fifth in her family to graduate from the College of Engineering. A licensed Professional Engineer in Iowa, she spent 15 years as a civil and structural consulting engineer leading major municipal and infrastructure projects, including multimillion-dollar bridge, roadway, and tunnel work in the Iowa City area. She is recognized for her skill in multistakeholder coordination, her leadership during the 2008 Iowa floods, and her commitment to client-focused project delivery.
Jane later held senior engineering and facilities leadership roles at John Deere for more than a decade, directing large-scale capital projects across North America and six additional countries. Her work included leading the $32 million Horicon Works expansion, managing teams supporting the company’s largest parts distribution center, and advancing enterprise initiatives in utility mapping, flood mitigation, and safety standards. She received two John Deere Enterprise Facilities Council Awards of Excellence for her contributions.
Jane has since returned to consulting as a lead structural engineer with IMEG Corp. in Rock Island, Illinois.
Her professional honors include two Iowa Quality Initiative Awards and the American Council of Engineering Companies Honor Award. She has provided sustained leadership as chair of the University of Iowa Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Board and through longstanding service with ASCE, SWE (Life Member), and the Iowa Engineering Society.
A dedicated community leader, Jane is a longtime member and past officer of the Pilot Club of Iowa City and has held leadership roles in her church, 4H, and the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry, where she chaired the board for 15 years. She received the Francis Asbury Award for exceptional service to higher education and campus ministry.
