James Reecy, PhD, is an associate vice president for research, facilitating research across campus. He leads numerous programs to enhance the impact of Iowa State University research. In addition, he co-leads the Iowa State corporate engagement team, whose mission is to broaden partnerships with companies across Iowa State. He joined the faculty of Iowa State University in 1999 and is currently a professor in the Department of Animal Science.  He co-leads the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities (APLU) Council on Research Fellow program. He is a fellow of the American Society of Animal Science and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
