Entrepreneurship is at the heart of innovation. Today’s Iowa engineering students are exploring venture creation, product marketability, and technology transfer — preparing to launch tomorrow’s successful businesses while earning their engineering degrees.
Certificate in Technological Entrepreneurship
Students pursuing the Entrepreneurship Focus Area can also earn the Certificate in Technological Entrepreneurship, offered through the College of Engineering. This program helps students:
Understand sound business practices and principles of venture creation.
Develop team-building and leadership skills in both small startups and large organizations.
Learn the entrepreneurial approach to acquiring and managing financial and technical resources.
Gain experience in business planning, market analysis, and innovation strategy.
Build valuable contacts and networking opportunities with successful entrepreneurs and established industries.
