Luke Valin

Luke Valin is a physical scientist at the US EPA Office of Research and Development, Center for Environmental Measurement and Modeling. He received a BA in chemistry from Macalester College (2005) and a PhD in chemistry from UC Berkeley (2012). The goal of his research at the EPA is to identify and characterize appropriate and effective uses of remote sensing data for supporting air quality decision making. Luke sits on the Pandonia Global Network Working Group, a network of sun photometers for satellite validation, and is a science team member for the NOAA GEO-XO Atmospheric Composition eXtended Mission. Luke collaborates with partners internationally, across multiple federal agencies, at state, local and municipal levels and with academic researchers.
