Sharon Tinker (BS Chemical Engineering 1980) is a retired process safety engineer and dedicated supporter of the University of Iowa College of Engineering. A member of the College of Engineering Advisory Board, she has advanced chemical engineering education through her support of the Chemical Engineering Process Safety Laboratory and the undergraduate Tinker Process Safety Award. She also established the Sharon K. Tinker Process Safety Professorship in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, strengthening the college's leadership in process safety education and research.
