Assistant Professor, Industrial and Systems Engineering
Biography

Jukrin is a human-centered systems thinker about future of work in education, health, and safety. Her interest lies in providing cognitive support to both experts and non-experts when they are making decisions despite the complexity of their work systems. In her doctoral and postdoctoral work at Texas A&M University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Houston Methodist Hospital, she explored diverse work systems including pharmacy, nursing, critical care, and crisis management. She plans to expand her focus to artificial intelligence-based tools and technologies, with a particular interest in investigating how their adoption in workplaces shapes the lives of workers–both experts and non-experts–and the nature of work itself.
