Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) - Iowa Baja
Professional and technical organization affiliated with all related engineering disciplines. The University of Iowa Society of Automotive Engineering (UISAE) is a non-profit, student-run organization representing the University of Iowa through SAE International. Each year the Iowa Baja SAE team designs, fabricates, and races a Mini-Baja Car at a world competition (see pictures under the Baja section of our website). The competition requires Iowa Baja to compete against other schools and universities from around the World. We emphasize that we are not a race team that races at a professional level but we are engineering students who use Iowa Baja to gain hands on experience and apply our engineering knowledge.
