Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE)
Professional organization affiliated with Industrial and Systems Engineering. The Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers is the world's largest professional membership society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial and systems engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. IISE consists of 50,000 members worldwide. The purpose of IISE is to provide leadership in developing industrial and systems engineering; in representing the industrial and systems engineering profession; and in enhancing the capabilities of those who are involved in the application, education, training, research or development of industrial and systems engineering. The IISE Iowa Student Chapter activities include: plant tours, technical paper presentations and competitions, social events, regional conference attendance, networking with professionals, professional development events, and outreach activities.
