Thomas Mepham was Chief Executive Officer of Sequa Corporation from June 2015 through November 2022 and Chairman of the Board from 2018 through 2022. As a senior executive in the aerospace industry, Mr. Mepham has provided leadership across a broad range of sectors in commercial and military product lines and businesses. He has successfully expanded global businesses through organic growth and acquisition, led the green-field development of offshore manufacturing operations, and driven up revenues and profit margins in a variety of product sectors.
Previously Mr. Mepham was Senior Vice President of Power, Controls and Sensing Systems, and President, Sensors and Integrated Systems, at United Technologies. Earlier at Goodrich Corporation he held successive senior leadership assignments over a 19-year period. At Goodrich he held the role of President Sensor Systems, and earlier was President Interiors, President, Customer Services, and President, Cargo Systems. He joined Goodrich in 1996 as Vice President and General Manager, Sensors Systems. Earlier in his career, he held engineering management positions at Rockwell Collins and Honeywell Aerospace.
Mr. Mepham holds both a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering (1986) and a Master’s in Business Administration (1991) from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the University of Iowa Mechanical Engineering Department Advisory Board.
Mr. Mepham is married to Laura Mepham and they split their time between Palm Beach, Florida, and Fountain Hills, Arizona. His hobbies include scuba diving, golf and hiking.
