The Muscatine Journal has profiled recent Distinguished Engineering Alumni Academy member Bill Ditch, who is a native of the city.

Ditch (BS 1956 mechanical engineering) was inducted October 24 into the College of Engineering's Alumni Academy.

Ditch is the 83rd distinguished graduate of the college to become a member of the academy, created to honor University of Iowa engineering alumni for their personal contribution toward engineering achievement, leadership, and service to the profession and to society.

Ditch’s strong entrepreneurial spirit, impeccable ethical standards, and drive to complete complex projects has led him to a career filled with innovation, determination, and success at AT&T, ADT, and subsequently the company he founded, The Sterling Group.
